Pseudo belly shots and wedding worries

Hi out there. It's Michelle. I've had an odd number of requests lately for belly shots. We really had planned on doing the once every month belly shot to put in our cute little baby book. We actually have a pregnancy journal called "The Belly Book". Well, since I've been so sick, that has not come to fruition. Jen isnt off work until tomorrow, so, for now, listed here, is a picture of my belly, from a high vantage point and pretty pooched out from my position, but, my belly, nonetheless. It's funny, because when I look at it from this viewpoint, it's very very rounded. It almost looks like a blue horizon, lol. Anyway, better belly shots from my photographer wife soon. I thought for now, I'd at least put one out there. We're actually looking forward to taking one outside near our home. There's a yellow traffic sign that says, "Caution: Bump". How perfect is that? They knew we were here :)

I'm having some wedding worries. Not about the wedding. I'm thrilled about that. I'm worried about still being sick. Every time we think I'm feeling better, I take a turn backwards. We were very cautious at the OB this week, and she maintained her stance. She wont send me back to work until I've had one week symptom free. Well, as you read below, my lovely wife outlined our day a few days ago where we had a wonderful time doing our registry. The next day, my nausea was back full force. And, as of today, I'm throwing up again. Accompanied by a few tears. Not so much because I'm in pain or anything, but because I'm frustrated. It's hard being at home, hardly being able to get into the shower, and watching Jen go to work, wait on me hand and foot, clean, take care of the animals etc etc etc.

I'm looking into hiring a cleaning service for our home until I can get back into the groove of things. Anyway, back to the wedding issue. I'm really worried that I wont be well enough by then to be there without looking green. However, I'm telling everyone now, that I'm going to be there. Even if our pictures have me holding my little pink plastic puke dish. And, I'll be ordering dinner from my favorite restaurant that we'll be going to that night. Even if I dont get to eat it, I'll look at it while everyone else eats. I'll enjoy the smell and look of it on my plate. I'll enjoy watching everyone enjoy their meal. Then. I'll ask for a container to take mine home in. See, my favorite place to eat, is Slanted Door in San Francisco. They have amazing food and an amazing bar. I obviously wont be at the bar, although I might be pulling a JD from Scrubs moment imagining that I'm there.

So, there's my concern. Me, in wedding pictures, green face, next to my beautiful wife, in lovely SF City Hall. Which, by the way, if you've never seen it, it's historic. Not your typical city hall. You should go online and look at it. It's a really incredible building. One last thing, that I know will make all of you laugh, or say "I know that feeling". It doesnt make a pregnant woman feel any better when people say, "You know, some women are sick the whole nine months of pregnancy" Gosh, thanks. I feel much healthier now then I did the last five months. >:(

Registry at DayOne......Crepes for lunch.....what a day......

Today was a great day, we walked around DayOne with Lia and did our Baby Registry. It was so fun because as we went around, Lia would tell us about the product or show us how it works. They don't have a online store, so I walked around and took pictures so Michelle can make a folder with all the product info for family and friends to look at and so they can call the number and order but know what they are getting. They have a lot of organic stuff, a lot of practical stuff. I get over stimulated when I go into that store, its crazy. In two weeks, September 29th, we will find out BOY or GIRL so then we can go back and be more specific.
The pictures above are of the little doll Lia had me dress up with one of the outfits we loved. The other picture is of the Orbit stroller that is amazing. Yes, it is very expensive, but we both think it will be worth every penny.
Oh ya, before we got started with this 3 hour process, we went to Crepes A-Go Go, it was so yummy. Then we went to check out our wedding announcements, to make sure they didn't make any mistakes. Everything is happening so fast.
Oh, and before all this we went to our weekly OB appt. with Patty. She is so awesome. Michelle is feeling a little better but not ready to return to work yet. Last week, Friday she had a really bad day. Seems like as soon as she is feeling better, it all comes crashing down.
Well...I smell dinner. (Teriyaki Turkey tenderloin)

K.I.S.S.(Kisses,intimacy, sex and sensuality)

I couldnt figure out how to password protect this post, so it's just going to kind of 'be out there'. For our Lesbian TTC friends and close personal friends, that will be fine. However, if you're not interested in reading about some delicate ins and outs of sex, pregnancy and lesbians, here's your out to not read the post.

I didnt feel good at all yesterday and didnt really eat much. I never know how long that's going to last though. I woke up at 4am this morning craving an orange. Thankfully, we just happened to have one left. And, it was good. You just never know with Fall oranges. Which leads me to part of this blog entry. When you're pregnant, and I dont think that I'm alone in this, there are certain things you miss, at certain points in the pregnancy. Whether it be by trimester, or day. Here, is a list of things I've missed and when:

Month 1: The original size of my bras. Eating. Cooking.

Month 2: Eating.

Month 3: My sanity. Eating.

Month 4: Kissing my wife and the ability to be physically close to her. Eating.

Now, dont get me wrong, I can be physically close to her. I'm next to her right now. And, no, I'm not going to talk about missing eating (although coconut shrimp would rock the house right now). I'm talking about being intimate. Close. After I ate my orange, I tried to cuddle up behind her.

Most of the time right now when I sleep, I have a ritual just before closing my eyes. I put a pillow behind my back, one under my ever growing belly, one between my knees and a couple around my head. I have a Boppy, but I'm almost sorry we bought it. I like that I can shift individual pillows anywhere I need to. This set up is not the most 'cuddle friendly'. Kind of creates that one foot barrier all around. So, I moved a few pillows and found that there's the inevitable belly to contend with. I could get my legs next to hers OR, my head onto her shoulder with maybe one of my shoulders touching hers, but any closer then that and i was either unable to get closer due to my belly, or, I was tweaked into a position that was incredibly uncomfortable. Which, at this time, is not hard to do. This incident was disappointing to say the least.

I'm a pretty sexual person. I enjoy intimacy with my wife. Even though my normal sex drive has been pretty much absent since I've been so sick, I have been craving the intimacy. I'm hoping that it's a sign that my body is recouperating. When I was pregnant with our son Corey, during my seventh month of pregnancy, a porn-like sex drive kicked in. My regular sex drive is pretty good, but even that surprised me. And, at seven months pregnant. What timing, lol.

I'm not at that point again. Yet. But I do miss the intimacy. I miss kissing. We peck all the time, dont get me wrong, but it's hard to do any real connecting type of kissing, when most of the time I'm expelling my most recent meal. So, my body, at this time, is not capable, but my mind is still willing, and I still miss it. As close as we are, she still feels about 12 inches too far away.

So, as I lay here next to her while she sleeps, touching her soft arms, I have to be honest and say, I'm looking forward to the seventh month of pregnancy.
