Hi Everyone, Michelle here. Well, we had NST#2 this week on Thursday. Addison was completely uncooperative, but not for the reason you'd think. She was moving like crazy. Every time they'd find her heartbeat, she'd move. I think that she thought everyone was playing a game with her. The funniest part is this though. They finally took the straps off, removed the round monitor piece that rests where her heartbeat is and layed it randomly on my stomach, and BOOM, there was the heartbeat, lol. They just let it lay there and we proceeded with the NST. Everything came out fine and we went in for the sonogram to test fluid levels.
When we had been in for NST#1, they told me to increase my fluids. I was already drinking a lot of water, so, I increased my water to close to a gallon a day. Yes, I said a gallon a day, lol. Apparently it worked well, because my fluid levels had increased quite a bit. So, we go back in on Monday for NST#3. Which reminds me, for any of our readers who read Indyness, if you havent caught up, try to. Mel's water broke the other day. We're so excited to finally meet Simone! :)
And now, welcome to the Complain Train. Please keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times and enjoy your trip.
Things at home are pretty up and down right now. Stress levels, sleep levels, feeling well, feeling sick etc etc. I dont sleep much anymore. I'm uncomfortable I'd say most of the time. About four nights ago I started getting a RAGING case of indigestion and acid reflux. Luckily, this is the first time in the pregnancy I've had it. I know a lot of people who've had it the whole time. It's bad enough though, where I cant sleep laying down. I have to pile pillows up and try to sleep sitting straight up. This is obviously not working well. I'm exhausted. My headaches are pretty constant at this point, and my nausea is back unless I stay on my meds. I was hoping to be weaned off of them at this point, but that's a no go.
I have pretty good Braxton Hicks going and they mostly come at night. With all of this, poor Jen suffers the side affects. She gets to be woke up at night by my hacking, adjusting, moaning self. She's been a trooper. She's also been a champ at getting things ready for Addison to be here. It's a tall order right now since I'm not able to do much. That's about it for now. I might try to write again later, we'll see how it all goes. Hope everyone's having a great weekend :)
