3D/4D Ultrasound day..........but couldn't tell the sex.

So, today was the day we thought we would find out if we were having a girl or boy, but the cord was in the way so for now, we don't know. She said that she thought she was a girl but she couldn't be 100% sure. Thats fine, we still got really cool pics and I (Jen) got my fix on seeing the precious darling.
Michelle wasn't feeling well today.......ugh! Of course, I am sure the drive didn't help. We had a good day though.
We have our 20 week sonogram on September 29th, so by then I am sure we will know, BOY or GIRL!! Not that it matters but you know I am dying to buy stuff.
Not much else to tell at this time......just enjoying my days off with my sweetie and our two dogs.

My only complaint

Hi all. Michelle here. I cant sleep, so I thought that I'd blog for a moment. I have a complaint, lol. Probably my only one. Our cat Meow Meow Kitty Timone will help display my mild angst. All of the pictures on my laptop (that we use quite often) of Jen and I, are OLD. Close to 5 years old. So, the picture posted in the 'we're getting married' blog; yeah, over four years old. We were not in shape, we were chunks. Happy, but still chunks. We've worked so hard to change our lifestyle, that those pictures never seem to do us justice. I'm thinking that I'm more sensitive about it then normal at this time in our life, but it's how I feel. The picture in that blog was of the day we got our Domestic Partnership, not our new wedding picture as someone has already asked. Jen is great about the whole picture thing, so she'll post those pictures once we have them. She's also getting a new camera prior to Baby A's arrival, so you'll actually get to start seeing our lives in the NOW and not the THEN, lol. Ok, I'm going to try to get comfortable and back to sleep. Sending love out to all of the expectant mommy's out there :)

Its time.......we are getting married......Yeah!!

We've decided today that we are going to get married. The law is supposed to be overturned in November, and so we would like to do it before November. I heard that any couple that marries before the November date will still be considered married, because it was the law during that time. Once it is overturned you won't be able to do it. Of course because of the baby and our being together 4 years we would like to make the next step and become married.
We are going to get a 3D/4D scan on Sunday of our little bundle of joy. We should be able to find out the sex. I am totally excited. I feel like I am going through withdrawals, haven't see her/him in months. Just heard the heart beat, its not the same. I felt this connection when we looked at the baby on that screen, its weird but true. She/He is such a blessing already and we are just at 4 months. I am looking forward to holding that precious baby in my arms. I know it will be a day I will never forget.
So, Michelle did some research today (reading a book called "The Ultimate Guide to Pregnancy for Lesbians") and found out that in California, because of a law that went into effect in 2005, if you are domestic partners, both partners can be listed on the birth certificate and the child is considered legally the child of both parents. And both partners are responsible financially for the child. This is pretty interesting.
So its Jen here.....taking a break from working, sleeping, eating......I felt today at 4pm like someone had run over me with a steam roller. UGH!! One more day and I will be off for 4 days. Yeah! It has been SOOOO hot in the city (San Francisco) and I have to wear a black uniform with a t-shirt underneath. You basically sweat all day long.
Okay enough about that. More to come.......new pictures of Baby "A" on Sunday, YEAH, I can't wait.
