From anxiety to being at peace.........

"Anxiety"
"At peace"

Started out my day with a little bit of anxiety....Michelle called me at 9am stating she had been up since 4am throwing up. (not good) Of course I couldn't keep sleeping when I know she is there sick and I am at home resting. I got up, decided there were many things I needed to be doing. Had to get some bills paid.....AFLAC was on my mind, as their paperwork seems so extreme, and I needed to call the OB. So, I took the dogs out and went on my way. Today I left the house a little smarter and left keys with friends so that I wouldn't have to come all the way back and let the dogs out, that way I would have more time with Michelle.
Went to the bank, and to the post office and then I was off to the hospital. I was feeling a bit sick this morning, like to my stomach, I think it was just nerves after reading all the stuff I read last night about what Michelle has. I think I freaked myself out a bit. I got to the hospital.....Michelle was a little sick when I got there. She could tell I had things on my mind but I didn't want to bother her with all of it. So, they came in and gave her a shot and I tried to sit there and relax for a bit. I then decided I could get some of my work done while sitting in her room. She fell asleep, which was good. I started calling AFLAC, which it ends up, it isn't as bad as I thought. Just have to wait for her to get discharged and that will be it. Then I called the OB clinic to talk to our Nurse Practitioner. I was kinda upset b/c our RN for the day kept calling our Dr to see if they could order a BANANA bag (vitamins) for her, but he wasn't answering. Of course, the last two days whenever I would leave her room, the Dr would come so I would miss him. So today I stayed from 11am until 8:30pm and that is when he came, nice. We aren't real fond of this Doc. We have three to choose from so chances are, he won't be it. Anyway, from the reading I did last night, it said that since she is unable to keep anything down, even liquids, that she should get a vitamin bag. Well, the Doc said "nah, thats not really going to do anything, but I will give it to her if that is what you want, but its not going to change anything." Even though the RN and the NP both agreed with us. She has to get something into her other than sugar water, come on. Anyway, I got my way after keeping on them all day. Yeah! I just worried that the baby wouldn't be getting enough.
We had the BEST RN today from 3pm to 11pm ever!! She has been working for 19 years and does YOGA, she is so mellow and has such good energy. She really seemed to put Michelle at peace, which was great. We had really good conversation with her whenever we could. And by talking to her I think we will begin going to YOGA soon. She was awesome.
Michelle seemed better today but she still was throwing up pretty violently. I stayed pretty late tonight, 10:30pm, wanted to make sure she was at peace, had her shot and was on her way to sleep. She said it helps her just to know I am there, AHHH! Isn't that sweet.
Anyway, after getting everything done that I did, plus talking to AFLAC, plus having our great nurses, by tonight I was feeling at peace. I chose the pictures I did for this blog, b/c Old Faithful makes me think of blowing off steam after having so much anxiety. And the beach makes me think of being at peace.
It sounds like Michelle will be in the hospital through Saturday for sure, and if not maybe all weekend.
